The challenge
Alssundgymnasiet in Sønderborg is known for its strong commitment to the green transition, both in education and within the local community. The school wanted to further strengthen its sustainability profile by optimising the use of its self-generated solar energy and ensuring a stable and cost-effective energy supply.
The solution
VisBlue supplied a flow battery that efficiently stores surplus solar energy generated by the school’s solar installation. This enables the school to use renewable electricity when the sun is not shining, for example at night or during the winter months, while also reducing its exposure to fluctuations in electricity prices.
